Ilona Widerynska

Hillsborough- Ilona Widerynska, 83, died peacefully on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at R.W.J.U.H.- Somerset. Daughter of the late Jozef and Jozefa Kobus, Ilona was born in Bychlew, Poland and lived in Wroclaw before immigrating to the United States in 1991. Ilona resided in Hillsborough for the past 30 years and worked for  Somerset County Recycling in Bridgewater. She was a communicant of Christ the Redeemer Parish in Manville. She is predeceased by her brother, Eugieniusz Kobus. Ilona leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband, Jerzy (George) Widerynski of Hillsborough; children, Maciej Widerynski and wife, Bozena of Ringwood, NJ, Kasia Sliwka and husband, Piotr of Wroclaw, Poland; grandchildren, Piotr, Jakub, Zosia and Jurek. Visiting hours will be held from 5-7 PM on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Prayers will be said 8 AM on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at the funeral home followed by a 9AM Mass at Sacred Heart Church in Manville. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, www.chop.edu.
