Geraldine Elick

Middlesex- Geraldine "Aunt Gerrie" Elick, 93, entered eternal life peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at her home. Daughter of the late Peter and Philamina Sposato, Aunt Gerrie was born in Belleville and lived in Middlesex since 1953. Aunt Gerrie was a packer for Devro in Somerville for 15 years retiring in 1981. She then worked as a hairstylist and taught at the Garden State Beauty School. She was a member of the Our Lady of Mount Virgin Altar Rosary Society and the Middlesex Democrats. She spent her life surrounded by family and friends.

Aunt Gerrie is predeceased by her husband Spase "Gus" Elick in 1994. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her brother Peter and wife Mary Sposato of Belevidere , NJ; niece Maria and Husband Ralph Oliviero of Bridgewater along with many nieces and nephews; great; and great-great nieces and nephews.

Prayers will be said Wednesday, 8:30am at the funeral home followed by a 9:30am Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin Church in Middlesex. Aunt Gerrie will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Bound Brook Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
