George R. Shafer

George R. Shafer, 83, of Bordentown, NJ passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023.  After graduating from Whitehall High School, Pa, he joined the Army and then graduated from Rider College. He lived in East Brunswick, NJ and then Bordentown, NJ.  He worked for IBM in corporate sales.  George was an avid boater and enjoyed many summers on the Barnegat bay.  He is survived by his sister Winifred, son Michael, daughter Deborah, and four grandchildren (Alexis, Brandon, Kailey and Justin). His kindness and resilience will be forever missed.  He will remain in our hearts as we remember his legacy.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-6PM with a 5:30PM service on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at the  Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
