Hillsborough- Fred Collins, 84, died peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at RWJUH-Somerset. Son of the late David and Angeline Collins, Fred was born in Green Township, Ohio and lived in Kentucky and South Bound Brook before settling in Hillsborough in 1965. Fred was an electrician and retired from Local 495 in North Carolina in 2000. He was a avid fisherman and handyman and enjoyed spending time with his family. He is predeceased by his wife, Lou Ann Collins in 2011. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his partner, Kathy Hagie of Hillsborough; his beloved children, Floyd Collins and wife, Sandra of PA, Melinda Collins of Hillsborough, NJ; grandchildren, Jeremy Rogers and wife, Kelly, Jason Rogers and wife, Cindy, Michael Giammarco, Jr. and wife, Kristin, and Jesse Collins; 5 great-grandchildren, Damien, Greyson, Madison, Ryan and Jordan; sisters, Phyllis Dunn and husband, Johnny of FL and Frances Tolle of Ohio. Visiting hours will held from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. A graveside service will take place 10 AM on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CHOP (The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia).
