Francine C. April

Francine C. April, 64, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Francine was born in Somerville, NJ to the late Mike and Frances April. She was raised in Bound Brook, NJ and is formerly from Middlesex before moving to South Plainfield in 2023.

She was a nurse for over 15 years, most recently as a hospice nurse for Homeside Hospice in Clark, NJ. Francine was known for her compassionate care and dedication to her patients, always going above and beyond to provide comfort and support. Her warm smile and kind heart touched the lives of many.

She cherished her time with her family and friends especially over a nice cup of Earl Grey tea. Prior to Francine becoming ill she enjoyed reading, shopping, and traveling with her husband on cross-country hunting trips.

Francine leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, Thomas Ritchie and their furbaby Jasper; sisters Diane, Michele Shurin (Joseph), Christine Flanagan (Robert); brothers Michael April (Doreen), and Gerard April (Judy). She was loved by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nephews, stepdaughter Sara (Vincent), and their two children.  She is preceded in death by her sister MaryAnn Scotillo (Michael), nephew Jon Downey, and Matthew Scotillo.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-7PM on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 with a funeral memorial service at 6:30PM. Cremation was held privately.

A grave side burial will be held in the future.
