Florence V. Cozza
Bound Brook- Florence V. Cozza, 92, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 in Wilmington, DE, surrounded by loved ones. Daughter of the late George and Florence Graham, Florence was born in Bronx, NY, and was raised in Piscataway before moving to Bound Brook in 1954. She relocated to Wilmington, DE in 2019 to reside near her daughter. Florence took great pride and joy in her role as mother and homemaker. She served as a staff member in the Engineering Department at Rutgers University, Busch Campus in Piscataway until her retirement in 1998. Florence was predeceased by her beloved husband of 44 years, James M. Cozza, Jr. in 1998 and her dear sister, Gladys Prosper in 2001. A woman of deep faith, quiet strength and great humility, her memory will be cherished by her prized children, Cynthia (Robert), James (Mary), Barbara, and Raymond (Susan); her treasured grandchildren, Katherine, James (Emily), John, Caitlin, Anthony (Samantha), Kelly (John), Patrick (Grace), and Thomas; her loved great-grandchildren, TJ, Caroline, Audrey, along with one on the way. In addition, she was adored by her many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held from 9-10:30 AM on Monday, May 1, 2023 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 followed by an 11AM Service at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Bound Brook. Burial will then follow at Bound Brook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Bound Brook where Florence was a lifelong member.
