Faith S. Giovino

Bound Brook - Faith S. Giovino, 89, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at her home in Bound Brook. Faith was born in Orange, NJ in 1932, the daughter of Edward Howard Sauter and Ruth Johnson Sauter. She graduated from West Orange High School in 1950 and The University of Pennsylvania in 1955. Faith began her teaching career in 1955 in West Orange, followed by 2 years in Summit, NJ. She spent the remainder of her career teaching first grade in the Plainfield school system from which she retired in 1995.

 She was a former elder at the United Reformed Church in Somerville as well as volunteering in various outreach programs in Somerset County. She was a board member of the Bound Brook library and a devoted volunteer. She was a member of the Bound Brook Seniors. She was a pet lover and an avid reader. She also enjoyed theater, movies, traveling and music. Faith is predeceased by her daughter, Susan R. Moore. She is survived by her two children, Kelly Moore of Bellingham, Washington, and James Moore of Bound Brook; grandchildren, Autumn Linn, Jamal Hemenway, Tyler Moore, Marisa Massey, Anneliese Austin; 5 great- grandchildren; as well as a brother, John Sauter of Florida. Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main St, Bridgewater NJ, 08807. Memorial contributions may be made to the Associated Humane Society, 124 Evergreen Avenue, Newark NJ, 07114-2133 or any animal rescue group.
