Eva M. Calavano, a devoted homemaker and beloved matriarch, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Sunrise of Bridgewater. She was surrounded by her loving family. Eva, one of seven children, was born to the late Sebastian and Rosa Parisi in Irvington, NJ. She spent many cherished years in Union, NJ, before settling in Bridgewater 25 years ago.
Eva was the epitome of selflessness and grace, dedicating her life to caring for her family. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Anthony J. Calavano, with whom she shared many beautiful memories. Eva leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, forever etched in the hearts of those she touched.
She is survived by her adoring children: Rosanne Petrilli and husband, Graz, of Bridgewater; Anthony Calavano and wife, Jill, of Waretown, NJ; and Kristine Carter and husband, Brian, of Bridgewater. Eva will be deeply missed by her grandchildren: Gina Marie, Christopher, Karli Anne, Anthony, Belle, and Nick, as well as her great-grandson, Tommy. She is also survived by her dear brother, Gino Parisi, and wife, Chefa, of MD.
Visiting hours to honor Eva's life will be held from 6-8 PM on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, located at 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. A service of remembrance will take place at 9 AM on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church in Bridgewater. Eva will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eva's memory to the Boston Children's Hospital.
Eva will be remembered for her unwavering love, gentle spirit, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
