Elizabeth "Betty" M. Slank

Raritan – Elizabeth “Betty” M. Slank, 90, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Hackensack Meridian Health in Manahawkin, NJ. Betty was born in Freeland, PA to the late Joseph and Ruth Uricheck. She is formerly of Bound Brook, NJ and Somerville, NJ before residing in Raritan, NJ. Betty was a cafeteria worker for over 28 years for Bridgewater-Raritan High School West, then 4 years at JF Kennedy Elementary School as their cook, retiring in 1998. In her spare time, she enjoyed being with her beloved family, sitting on her front porch talking to family and friends, going to AC, shopping, and traveling to the Jersey shore. She was also an avid dancer, and absolutely loved watching "Dancing With the Stars". Betty will be greatly missed.

She is predeceased by her loving husband, Francis “Fritz” Slank who passed in 2009, brother, Bernard, youngest sister, Nancy Derr and baby brother, Joseph Uricheck, Jr.

Betty leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving daughters, Denise Fackler and Deborah and her husband, Frank Leotti; 3 grandchildren, Douglas Fackler, Samantha Fackler and Jason Leotti; 6 great-grandchildren, Angelina, Anthony, Andrew, Alec, Axl and Kiana and sisters, Pat Dias and Ruth Semon and her nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from 11-1PM on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 followed by 1:30PM graveside services at St. Bernard Mausoleum, Bridgewater, NJ.
