Elizabeth (Liz) Balke, 89, Devoted Wife, mother and lifelong advocate - Nee November 23, 1936 Passed March 27th, 2026

Elizabeth (Lizzie), a beloved wife, mother, and champion of civic life, passed away on March 27th, 2026 at the age of 89. Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, she carried with her throughout her life the spirit of joy and of public service.

Liz dedicated her time to helping others, volunteering with the League of Women Voters, Samaritan Homeless Interim Program (SHIP) and in her younger years was active with the John F. Kennedy campaign for president and attended Bentley in Boston. 

Liz is survived by her husband, Bill, her children, Sean and Heather, her daughter-in-law Diann Robinson and her granddaughter Ruth.    

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Samaritan Homeless Interim Program or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Private arrangements were in the care of Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main St, Bridgewater, NJ.
