Eliza Muzyczenko

Piscataway – Eliza Muzyczenko, 79, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ surrounded by her loving family. Eliza was born in Vilnius, Lithuania to the late Roman and Leokadia Konopka. She resided in Wroclaw, Poland for thirty three years before immigrating to the United States in 1977, residing shortly in Morristown and then in Piscataway.

Prior to being a proud homemaker, Eliza worked as a bookkeeper in Poland.  She was devoted to helping animals and people through the many charities and rescues she donated to. While in Poland, she bred, raised and showed English Cocker Spaniels through her family kennel.  She was proudest of her homebred Cocker Spaniel being named European national champion.  Eliza shared a deep-rooted passion for equestrian activities with her daughter and was happiest when spending time at the stables.  She was a fixture at horse shows, cheering on her daughter while she was showing their American Saddlebreds. Eliza will be greatly missed by family and friends, who have known her as a kind, warm and welcoming sweetheart who adored nature and animals.

She is predeceased by her loving husband, ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Ivan Muzyczenko who passed in 1996, her beloved brother Cezary Konopka who passed in 1997 and her son, Piotr Bujwid who passed in 2022.

Eliza leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved daughter, Zena Muzyczenko and her soon to be husband, Michael Protasiewicz, brother, Janusz Konopka and his wife, Elzbieta, sister-in-law, Klara Konopka, nieces and nephew, Joanna Zachara, Elizabeth Andruszko and Maciej Konopka, granddaughter, Jacklyn Kurkowski,  and great-niece, Nina Zachara as well as her beloved English Bulldog, Rambo.

Visitation will be held from 6-8PM, Monday, May 6, 2024 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Funeral mass will be held at 9AM, Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
