Green Brook- Eileen Meeney, 84, died peacefully on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Abingdon Care Center in Green Brook. Daughter of the late Richard and Bertha Hock, Eileen was born and raised in Jersey City and lived most of her life in South Plainfield before moving to Green Brook 6 years ago. She held various jobs of the years including waitressing, jewelry retail and working in secretarial with her son at Spadix Technologies in Middlesex. Eileen was an avid reader, doll collector, angel collector and enjoyed watching the Hallmark and Sci- Fi channels. One of her favorite holidays was Christmas. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved children, Albert Simone and wife, Lisa, of Bridgewater, Eileen Simone of Somerville, Cheryl Simone of South Plainfield, John Meeney and wife, Noelle, of TX; grandchildren, Matthew, John, Cruze; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Brielle, Vivienne; siblings, Patricia Koprowski and Bob Hock. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Diane Billey. Visiting hours will be held from 3-6 PM on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. A prayer service will be held 5:30 PM during the visitation.
