Doris Kelco

Doris Niro Kelco, 93, died peacefully among family on Thursday, September 1, 2022 in Ft. Mill, SC where she resided with family the last several years of her life. 
She was born to parents, Anna Troisi Niro and Carl Niro on September 2, 1928 in Raritan, NJ, where she lived the majority of her life. 
Doris worked at a sewing factory in her younger years and then at Eastern Steel Barrel and eventually retired from a housekeeping position at Somerset Medical Center. 
She was a communicate of St. Ann’s Church and was a member of their Golden Age and the Raritan Seniors.  Doris enjoyed making eggplant at St.  Ann’s Annual Festa. Doris volunteered for Somerset County and was a member of the Relief Hose #2 Ladies Auxiliary. When she wasn’t busy volunteering her time, she loved to cook and dance. 
Doris was married to her beloved husband, Steve Kelco, who passed away in 1996. She is also predeceased by her siblings, Nick Niro, Danny Niro, and Josephine Niro Cigler. 
Surviving are her sister, Anna Niro Marshall (married to Joseph Marshall) and brother, Carl Niro (married to Linda Niro).  Doris has many nieces, nephews, and their children who she loved spending time with. 

Graveside services will be held 11AM, Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Franklin Memorial Park, 1800 NJ 27, North Brunswick, NJ 08902. Services entrusted to the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main St., Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
