Raritan- Doreen A. Vallone, 61, died peacefully on Friday, July 29, 2022 at RWJUH-Somerville. Daughter of the late Leonard and Margaret Shedlosky, Doreen was born and raised in Manville. She lived most of her life in Somerville before moving to Raritan three years ago. Doreen was a homemaker. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, volunteered at the "Good as New Antiques and Thrift Shop" in Somerville, and assisted with helping the elderly. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and will always be remembered as a loving wife and mother. She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, David K. Vallone of Raritan; son, David K. Vallone, Jr. and wife, Amy of Somerville; siblings, Karen O'Connell and husband, Michael of Alpha, Leann Batson and husband, Paul of Hampton, and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held from 4-7 PM on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at the Bridgewater Funeral home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Funeral services will be held 10AM on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the funeral home followed by burial at New Cemetery in Somerville.
