Dominick G. DeLuca

 

Somerville- Dominick G. DeLuca, 88, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Hunterdon Medical Center. Son of the late Luigi and Anunciata DeLuca, Dominick was one of 8 children born and raised in Raritan, NJ. Dominick was a U.S. Korean War Veteran and was a graduate of Seton Hall University where he received a BS in Education. Dominick in his early years, taught English for the Somerset County Vocational School and Bridgewater Raritan High School East. He then went on to work as a project supervisor for the Turner Construction Company. A member of Local 779 Union, he had over 25 years of residential, commercial, and industrial construction and remodeling experience. He was predeceased by his siblings, Mario, Mary, Helen, Louise, Gino and Evelyn. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 36 years, Florence (Jirik) DeLuca; sister, JoAnn Williams and husband, Phil of Fanwood; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held from 4-7 PM on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. The funeral mass will be offered 10:30 AM on Monday, May 10, 2021 at St. Ann’s Church, Raritan, NJ. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Ann’s School in Raritan.
