Daniel J. Harvis

 Hillsborough – Daniel J. Harvis, 57, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Overlook Hospital in Summit surrounded by his loving family. Dan was born and raised in Summit, NJ before moving to Hillsborough over 21 years ago. Dan was a dedicated firefighter for the city of Summit for over 27 years before retiring in 2015. In his spare time, Dan thoroughly enjoyed fishing, especially with his friends and family and he was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.  He had a passion for cooking and loved when he could gather his friends and family together.  His greatest joy was his family. Dan will be sadly missed by his friends, family and colleges.

 Dan is predeceased by his parents, Daniel L. and Judith (Gerity) Harvis.

 He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of over 25 years, Rose (DiBetta) Harvis, his two beautiful daughters, Julia Anna Harvis, and Teresa Judith Harvis, and sisters, Deborah A. Timko and her husband, Thomas and Melissa Rodrigues.

 In addition to many nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends and his two faithful companions Odin and Jacey that will miss their midnight snacks of pretzels.

 Visitation will be held from 4PM-8PM on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at the  Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807, with a funeral service at 7:30PM. Cremation will be private.
