Coralee “Corie” Haber, 76, formerly of Whitehouse Station, NJ, passed away on June 1, 2024. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 2, 1947, daughter of Frank and Jean Fernan. After graduating Bay Ridge High School, she spent time as a young professional working for the FBI and the publishing company Holt, Rinehart & Winston.
She was a wonderful mom who dedicated herself to raising her family. Corie ensured that her three children had every opportunity to become successful adults. She was adored by her children’s friends, affectionately known to many as “Mama Habes.” What she enjoyed most later in life were her "7 Grands" - most called her Grammy, one called her Nanny, and they all treasured their time with her.
She was a phenomenal cook, amazing baker, and talented self-taught cake decorator. Corie was detail-oriented, well-organized, and took pride in her role as a Human Resources specialist. She excelled at handling payroll, benefits and other functions for various local companies including the Katherine Gibbs School and STS Tires until her retirement. An avid reader, Corie enjoyed romance novels and was a game show enthusiast. Her creative spark and zest for Doo Wop music will be missed by many.
Corie leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved children, Jennifer Canzanella and her husband Tony of Midlothian, VA, Rich Haber and his wife Alexis of Jackson, NJ, and Christopher Haber and his wife Christina of Perkasie, PA, and her grandchildren Peter, Edward, and Alexandra Haber, Ava Canzanella, and Joseph, Frederick, and Louis Haber. She is also survived by her two sisters, Angela Fernan, and Joanne Irish and her husband David. Corie was predeceased by her parents and dear cousin, Thomas Sfraga.
