Christopher L. Van Hise

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Christopher Lee Van Hise, age 55, on November 9, 2024.  Born on December 17, 1968 in New Brunswick, NJ, he lived most of his life in Bridgewater, NJ.  He was a graduate of The Pingry School in Martinsville, NJ and Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.  Chris prioritized interests he enjoyed such as playing baseball, skiing every day one winter at Mt. Bachelor, Oregon or studying the Civil War.  Chris was a talented baseball player from his days in Little League, excelling in High School and continued on in men’s leagues into his 40’s.  He was interested in history and politics and enjoyed traveling to watch the New York Mets in various cities.  He worked in several fields including sales, finance and dispatching for delivery service companies.  He was a loving son, brother and uncle.  Chris was predeceased by his father, Charles. He is survived by his mother, Carolanne, brother Charles, sister in-law Laura, and nephews David, Alexander and Nathan. 

Visiting hours will be held from 10am-12noon, Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main St., Bridgewater, NJ. Prayer service will be held at 11:45am at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
