Celestine K. Farrell, 39, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware.
Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, Celestine was a lifelong resident of Piscataway. She was a graduate of Piscataway High School and continued her education at Raritan Valley Community College, where she earned her associate's degree. Celestine was employed by FMC in Delaware for many years as a biologist, where she was dedicated to her work and respected by her colleagues.
Known affectionately as "Cele" to those who loved her, she found her greatest joy in spending time outdoors. Whether fishing, camping, or simply enjoying nature with family and friends, those moments brought her true happiness. She will be remembered for her kind heart generosity, her love of the outdoors, and the special memories she created with those closest to her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is predeceased by grandmother, Catherine Curcurato and her uncle, Joseph Maza.
Celestine leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving mother, Kathy Farrell, and her companion, Carmella Livera; former husband and close friend, James Lesnefsky; half-sisters, Wanda Barry and Judi Brausewetter; aunts, Louise Whitmore and her husband, David, and Carla Maza; uncle, Brian Curcurato; first cousins, Melanie Maza, Jackie McMahon and her husband, Ryan, and Michelle Mazzillo and her husband, Mathew; as well as her beloved second cousins, Landon, Greyson, Beckett, and Jackson.
Memorial visitation will be held from 1-4PM on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ. A funeral service will begin at 3:30 PM. Cremation was held privately.
The family is asking, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to any animal shelter or your favorite charity of your choice in Celestine Farrell’s name.
