Middlesex- Catherine Slootmaker, 67, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Jerry and Patricia Vitiello, Cathy was born in San Diego, CA and lived in Middlesex the past 43 years. She was an office manager for Dr. Mehta in Middlesex retiring in 2010. She was a member of the Middlesex Woman's Junior Group; a Girl Scout Leader in Middlesex for the Daisey Troop and Brownie Troop. She is survived by her beloved husband since 1992, John Slootmaker; children, Erica Karabinos (Bruce), Laura Rossback, Jessica Zagari; brother, Steven Vitiello (Michelle); sister, Lisa Vitiello; and 4 cherished grandchildren, Jared, Brian, Lucas and Rebecca. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Glenn and Robert. Visiting hours will be held from 2-4PM and 7-9PM on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Funeral services will be held 10AM on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the funeral home followed by entombment at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
