Castulo A. Torres

Castulo Torres, age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. He was an excellent father, grandfather, and great grandfather who always lifted up your spirits when you needed it the most. He was born in Peru, and was a police officer for 35 years before retiring and deciding to come to the US in hopes for a better future for his family. Castulo had five beautiful children (Enrique, Javier, Guisela, Jessica, and Julissa), nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Castulo was known for his generosity and helping others. He enjoyed cooking for everybody any time they came to visit. He also enjoyed singing and dancing, and later on in life you knew he was happy when you heard him whistling to his favorite songs. He was a strict man, with many rules, but also with a heart of gold. He always put others before himself, often times helping family and friends through very difficult times. He symbolized strength, kindness, and happiness and has touched the lives of so many who will keep him in their hearts and memories forever. 

Visiting hours will be held from 12-2PM on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
