Carolyn B. Reeves, a nurse at Sant Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ and a life-long resident of Somerset County, passed away on August 1, 2024.
Carolyn is survived by her daughters; Imanni and Kiera Reeves, her brothers; Daniel Reeves, Todd Reeves and his wife Lorna Reeves, and Brian Reeves and his wife Patricia Reeves, and her grandson Kaycen Reeves and nephew Dallas Reeves, and niece Dara Reeves.
Carolyn was born in Plainfield, NJ on July 26, 1961, to parents Albert and Phyllis Reeves. She graduated from Somerville High School and Raritan Valley Community College. She also graduated from Walden University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She started working at Saint Peter’s University Hospital as a nurse in the Mother/Baby unit on July 17, 1984 and recently celebrated her 40th work anniversary. She was well respected by her colleagues and her patients alike. She was known for her happiness and professionalism.
Her passion was raising and experiencing life with her daughters and family. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed sewing. She also was a devoted daughter to her parents. She was loved dearly by her family and friends, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A simple, honest person who liked to plan and organize events.
Her viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 6 at Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main St., Bridgewater, NJ. Viewing times will be between 2pm and 4pm and 7pm and 9pm. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 7 at 10:00 am at Fairview Cemetery, 1100 E. Broad St., Westfield, NJ.
