Brigette A. Searcy

Brigette A. Searcy, 62, died peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Hackensack Meridian hospital in Brick. She was predeceased by her father, Rollon A. Ridley Sr. and mother, Phyllis M. Ridley. Brigette was born in Somerset NJ, grew up in Piscataway and lived most of her life in Edison before moving to Brick. 

 She is survived by her fiancé, Richard P. Murphy, brother, Rollon A. Ridley Jr, sister, Kimberly Newsome, fiancé, Emilio, Goddaughter/niece, Kira, sister, Karen Gibson, niece, Kayla, sister, Sabrina Nazario, husband, Jose, and nieces, Samone & Mya. 

Brigette grew up fishing, crabbing and riding dirt bikes.  That was our family outings to spend time with each other.  She graduated from Piscataway High School and Middlesex County College. She had a love for fast cars and loved to spin her tires in front of the house to make our mom yell. She had a huge love for music, loved to go listen to bands and play music in her car. She loved bowling and softball as well. Halloween was her favorite holiday and she loved dressing up in costumes. 

Her memorial service will be held June 2, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, NJ 07728.
