Bernard Murawski

Bridgewater- Bernard "Bernie" Murawski, 82, died peacefully on Thursday, February 17, 2022. Son of the late Charles and Anastasia Murawski, Bernie was born in Blakely, PA and lived in Bridgewater, Georgia and Middlesex before moving back to Bridgewater in 1986. He was a 1957 graduate of Somerville High School and was in in the US Army National Guard. Bernie was a millwright and worked for Rapistan Demag in Warren, retiring in 2004. He was a communicant of St. Mary of Czestochowa Church in Bound Brook, the American Legion Post 309 in Middlesex, and the Piscataway Elks BPOE 2414. He was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman and enjoyed camping with his family. He played Keno at the casinos and was a Steelers fan. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 59 years, Evelyn (Giazzon) Murawski; children, Keith Murawski and wife, Gayle of Branchburg, Jeff Murawski of Bridgewater, Paul Murawski and fiance, Stacey Wood of Branchburg; grandchildren, Bryan, Brittany, Brianna, Austin, Ryder, Skylar; sisters, Marlene Beczynski and husband, Richard, Carol Higgins and husband, John, and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Funeral services will begin with a prayer 8 am on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the funeral home followed by a 10 am Mass at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church in Bound Brook. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Association.
