Arthur W. Harke, 88, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the NJ Eastern Star Home in Bridgewater.
Born in Newark, NJ, Arthur was the son of the late William and Lottie Harke. He grew up in Irvington before settling in Bridgewater in 1963, where he made his home for more than six decades.
Arthur proudly served in the Army National Guard and was a graduate of Upsala College in East Orange, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He spent most of his working life in warehouse management, holding positions with several companies, and devoted many years of service to Cory’s in Elizabeth.
Arthur was predeceased by his first wife in 1992, Margaret Harke. He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Emily Rose Harke; his children, Pamela Donetz and her husband Anthony of Flemington, and Kathleen Mullen of Flemington; and his stepchildren, Chris Giarretta and his wife Lori of Bayville, Gary Giarretta and his wife Linda of Hillsborough, and Megan Fox and her husband James of Chester, VA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five step-grandchildren, all of whom brought great joy to his life.
