Mom, life-partner, daughter, sister, godmother, aunt and many more – these are all the titles Antonette held among other things, but most of all she is beloved by everyone. Antonette always lit up the room with her infectious smile and laugh. She was always surrounded by family and friends and whom mostly called her a one true friend. Antonette had a heart of gold, a beautiful soul and now a beautiful spirit. She always thought of others first before her needs.
Antonette worked at Glaxo-SmithKlein in Piscataway for 17 years. She started as lab assistant and by the end of her tenure at GSK, she secured the title of Microbiologist through her hard work and perseverance. After the plant closing, Antonette worked at Akorn Pharmaceuticals in Somerset for 17 more years where she started as a Microbiologist I and became a Senior Microbiologist. Her most recent Microbiologist position was with Legend Pharmacy in Raritan. One thing was for sure, she secured quick friendships wherever she worked. She was always a friend and a mother figure with everyone she worked with.
Antonette is survived by her two boys, Joey of Somerville and JJ of Flemington, her life-partner, Jan Halama of Flemington, her parents, Aida & Joe Vecchio of Bridgewater, her sister Suzette and her husband, Steven McCauley of Middlesex, her brother Michael Reyes and his wife, Tina of Lanoka Harbor, her nephews Joseph McCauley, Tristan Reyes and nieces, Megan Reyes, Helda McCauley, Emma and Allison Werth, and her beloved Benji and Tate. She is also survived by her extended family, Virginia Nepomuceno and Dante Uypico of the Philippines, Jan and Maria Halama of Avenel and Herb and Adriana Werth of Fair Haven, and all her cousins in the Philippines, Australia and Canada.
