Anthony J Mazzocchi was born to the late Antonio and Dora Mazzocchi on August 15th, 1946. He peacefully departed this life on January 25, 2025.
"Tony" as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was a proud Navy Veteran. He spent his working life as a Department Manager for Village Supermarkets. Once diagnosed with cancer, Tony retired. This diagnosis did not stop him from doing so many things he loved. He enjoyed traveling, playing bocce, and being involved in the Society Hill Association. He looked forward to his Men's Group in Chatham and his time at the Somerset County Senior Center. Most of all "Papu" as he was affectionately known to his grandchildren, loved supporting them at baseball, track meets, cheer, football, and volleyball. He was the true definition of strength and courage. He was an extraordinarily ordinary man.
He leaves behind to cherish and commemorate his life: His wife of 20 years, Rosalind: his Daughter Melissa Akins (Arthur): His Daughter Jennifer Tuller-Cuffe (Sean): and his 5 grandchildren: AJ Akins, Shealyn Tuller, Ty Akins, Kiley Tuller and Peyton Akins.
A memorial mass will be offered 11AM on February 8, 2025 at the St. Joseph's Shrine, 1050 Long Hill Road, Stirling, NJ 07980.
