Anita Myrna Hembrador Paulino, 77, of Bridgewater, New Jersey, passed away at RWJUH Somerset in Somerville, New Jersey on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.
She was born in Manila, Philippines on May 7, 1946 to Jose Lacson Hembrador and Rosario dela Cruz Cornelio, and grew up in Pasay City, Philippines. Anita graduated with honors from Southeastern College in 1963 aspiring to be an accountant and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an accounting major from The University of the East in the Philippines.
She married Artemio Paulino in 1971 whom she met at her place of employment in a container manufacturing facility - he, as a plant operations supervisor and she, as an administrative assistant. Shortly thereafter they immigrated to the U.S. for work opportunities in the New York area. They settled in Linden, NJ in their early years while she worked as a principal accounting clerk for Tenco, a Division of Tetley, Inc. for over 13 years. She then worked as an administrative assistant for Childcraft, Inc. for 5 years. Anita and her family moved to Princeton and she secured a new position as a general clerk for Silver Line Building Products for 8 years until she retired and moved to Palm Harbor, FL. Anita and Artemio then returned to New Jersey after 3 years to be closer to family and their grandchildren.
Anita was also very dedicated in her faith. Anita served four decades as an active member and church officer of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) in Elizabeth, NJ, St. Petersburg, FL and Piscataway, NJ.
Anita is survived by daughter Pamela with her husband Michael and their children Victoria, Alexis and Gabrielle and many loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Bridgewater Funeral Home located on 707 Main Street Bridgewater, NJ 08807 https://www.bridgewaterfuneralhome.com/. Final Viewing to be held on Saturday, December 30 at 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Bridgewater Funeral Home followed by interment at 10:00 AM at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens US Highway 1 North Woodbridge, NJ 07095.
