Amelia Marano

Middlesex – Amelia Marano, 76, passed away at home on Sunday, November 27, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Amelia was born in Newark, NJ to the late Frank Sr. and Rafaella (Rae) Guardabascio. She resided in Belleville, NJ most of her life before moving to Middlesex 11 years ago. Throughout Amelia’s human resource career, she was employed for Tony Petaccio Printer Co., in Belleville, NJ, The Meadowlands Sports Complex in Carlstadt, NJ, and Green Acres, in Bloomfield, NJ, retiring in 2016. She also was the director of human resources for the Sheraton Suites at Lincoln Harbor. In her spare time, Amelia enjoyed ice skating and loved baking and cooking for her family and friends, especially during the holidays. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of over 56 years, George Marano; children, Pasquale Marano and wife, Alexis, and Georgina Marano-Powers; siblings, Joseph Guardabascio, Frank Guardabascio Jr. and Annette Guardabascio , grandchildren, Juliana, Anthony, and Madison and nephews and nieces, Carolyn, Lisa, Frank Jr., Joseph, Michael R., Michael, Ruby and Theo.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-8PM, on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main St., Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Funeral services will be held at 10AM, Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022 at the funeral home.
