Alexander W. Galvacky

East Millstone- Alexander W. Galvacky, 88, died with family at his side on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. Son of the late Stephen and Ida Galvacky, Alexander was the last of 7 siblings, born in Manville, NJ. He grew up in Manville and lived many years in Bridgewater,  and Franklin Township before moving to East Millstone. He was a 1951 graduate of Bound Brook High School. He also served in the US National Guard for 10 years. He was a lifelong car mechanic and retired in 1986 from Mack Trucks Inc. in Somerville as a Records Analyst.  Alex was pre-deceased by his first two wives, Margaret Milnor and Joan Vilois.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 12 years, Carolyn J. Galvacky; children, Cynthia O'Connor (Thomas), Daniel Galvacky (Leona), Patricia Richards, Theresa Kamont (Thomas), James Galvacky (Tammy); step-children, Richard Evans and Lisa Blackhurst; 4 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.  Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Thursday, July 14, 2022 at the funeral home followed by burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
