Albert Foeri Obituary

Albert Charles Foeri
Manville, NJ - Albert Charles Foeri, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, on what would of been his 43rd wedding anniversary, with his family by his side. He was 83. Son of the late Albert and Eleanor Foeri, Al was born in Bayonne, NJ and lived the past 50 years in Manville Al was a 1963 graduate of Oklahoma State University with a degree in Fire Protection Engineering. Al was a Firefighter in the state of Oklahoma. Al served in the United States Coast Guard Reserves from 1958-1966. Al began his career as a FPE for INA, Vornado and then spent the last 25 years of his career at Cigna Insurance Company where he retired in 1999.
Al was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He was a member of various organizations. Al was a lifetime member of the NRA, Saxton Falls and Valley Brook R&D clubs, Trout Unlimited, Manville Tree Commission and The National Wildlife Federation. Al took great pleasure at Pequest Fisheries where he taught challenged youth fishing skills.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 43 years, Ann (Bolen/Fischer) Foeri; children, Kevin R. Fischer of Hillsborough, NJ, Kathleen (Fischer) Chambers and husband, Todd of Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Connor Chambers and Cameron Chambers; and great-grandchildren, Rylie Marie, Ellie and Ethan; and a brother, Edward Foeri and wife, Leslie of Succasunna, NJ. Al had three very special men in his life that he loved and referred to as his “second” sons; Bobby Murray, Dennis Stack III and Sal Giordano. Al also cherished a very special woman whose love and kindness was unconditional, Laura Kizis of Pennington, NJ.
It would be remiss not to share the immeasurable amount of love that Al had for his two grandsons, Connor and Cameron Chambers. From the moment these young men entered this world they became the light of his life and the sparkle in his blue eyes. A love like no other between grandfather and grandsons. The respect given and received by these three men was remarkable. There own private “Men’s Club”. The memories of all the special times together will go on forever with no beginning and no end. There never was a more proud grandfather as well as loved man then their grandfather and hero (Pa ) Al Foeri.
