Wildwood Crest- Albert Bartocci Jr., 75, passed away on Wednesday January 24th, 2024 at AtlantiCare Hospital in Pomona, New Jersey, surrounded by his family. Son of the late Albert Sr. and Norma Bartocci, Albert Jr. was born in Newark, New Jersey and was raised in Cranford. He resided in Wildwood Crest for the last 24 years of his life. Albert worked at Chubb & Son for 38 years and retired at age 57 as an Operations Manager in 2005. Shortly after, he realized he wasn’t ready to be fully retired and took a part time job at Atlantic Auto Group in Egg Harbor Township maintaining the car inventory. He finally called it quits and retired for good in early 2020.
Albert was a longtime season ticket holder of the Baltimore Colts, a dedicated Indianapolis Colts and New York Yankees fan, and loved collecting sports memorabilia. He adored his dog Peyton and enjoyed playing softball, bowling, and crabbing with his friends. Albert loved to travel to Hawaii, Las Vegas, Florida, and cruise the Caribbean Islands. His taste in music included The Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, and Elvis. He loved going to the beach, swimming in the ocean, and riding the waves, eventually teaching his children and grandchildren how to bodysurf. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and spending time with them, especially during the holidays and 4th of July block parties. Albert will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Albert leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife Lorraine, of 55 years, and beloved children; son Albert Bartocci III and his wife Sherri of Raritan, and daughter Christine Hill and her husband Eric of Glen Gardner; 7 grandchildren, Albert John, Jacob and his wife Alexandra, Thomas, Cora, Angela, Emma, and Cole; great grandson Jaxon Hill; brother John Bartocci and his wife Rhonda of Las Vegas, and sister Susan Cox of Edison; and treasured nieces and nephews.
