Adele M. Black, 75, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Adele was born in Staten Island, NY and resided in Alexandria, NJ, but resided most of her life in South Bound Brook, where she provided childcare in her home for over thirty years. In her spare time, she enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards and Yahtzee, taking trips to the casino, and summer vacations on the Outer Banks in North Carolina.
She is predeceased by her loving husband of almost 50 years, Thomas L. Black whom she married when she was eighteen. She is also predeceased by her son, James Black and siblings, William Trautman, Henry Trautman, Robert Trautman, Maryann Keel, and Nancy Trautman.
Adele leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved children, Thomas Black and wife, Susan, Linda Tronolone and husband, Robert, and Laura Lumbatis, and husband, Ryan; eight grandchildren, Janine, Brittany, Kelly, Samantha, Jackie, JT, Lily, and Averie; three great grandchildren, Reese, Ella, and Emilia; sister, Susie Huscha; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held from 4-7PM, Monday, March 28, 2022 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 70 E. Main St., Bridgewater, NJ. Prayers will be said at 9AM, Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the funeral home followed by a 10AM funeral mass at our Lady of Mercy Church in South Bound Brook. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in East Millstone.
