Veronica “Ronnie” Morehouse, 101, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Brookdale Hillsborough. Ronnie was born to the late Frank and Gazela Lasky in Garfield and is formerly from Wallington and Raritan where she spent most of her life before moving to Hillsborough recently. She was employed at the Somerset County Library System in Somerville at the circulation desk for many years, retiring in 1980. Ronnie was a member of Somerset County Senior Single Womens’ Group, Raritan Seniors and long time communicant of St. Bernard of Clairvaux RC Church in Bridgewater. Ronnie will be sadly missed by family and friends, especially those who enjoyed playing bingo, cards and dice with her.

Ronnie is predeceased by her husband, Harold Morehouse; daughter, Joan Melitsky, and son-in-law, Robert Boughner.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Carol Boughner, son-in-law, Jack Melitsky, grandchildren, Jill Boughner, Eric Boughner and wife, Betsy, Jennifer (Melitsky) Owen and husband, Bryan, and John Melitsky and wife, Lori and great-grandchildren, Annie, Gregory, and Beatrice Boughner, and Vicki and Will Melitsky.

Visiting hours will be held from 2-4PM on January 10, 2020 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater.  A 10AM funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at St. Bernard Church in Bridgewater, followed by entombment at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater.
