Devoted husband & loving father
Bridgewater- Ronald Eugene Doney, 66, entered eternal rest peacefully on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Son of the late Harold and Alma Doney, Ronnie was born in Hazelton, PA and lived the past 32 years in Bridgewater. Ronnie was in the U.S. Navy Sea Bee's serving from 1960-1963. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Dallenbach Sand and Gravel in Jamesburg. Ronnie will be sadly missed by all who knew him and always remembered for his love of cooking for his family and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his brother Harold Doney, Jr.; Aunt Irene and Uncle Art Houston and Uncle Elsworth Doney. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary (Bartkovich) Doney of Bridgewater; daughters, Cheryl and husband Dominick Page of South Bound Brook; Michele and husband Jeff Redrup of Piscataway; Renee Machonis of Bound Brook; 6 grandchildren, Brian, Kevin and wife Kyrstin, Dylan, Amanda and Jennifer; 5 great-grandchildren Alexis, Cassidy, Jason, Austin and Alyssa. Funeral Services will begin 8am on Monday at the funeral home followed by a 9am funeral mass as Sacred Heart Church in Manville. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 6-9pm at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Church or the American Cancer Society.
