Bridgewater- Renee Thiry Edwards, 51, passed away on October 2, 2016 after battling 2 1/2 years of stage 4 ovarian cancer. She grew up in Warren, New Jersey with her 3 brothers, Derek, Damon and Daryl and her parents, Rose Ann and Frederick Thiry. As Renee grew up she worked as a traveling Matrix Regional Manager until her daughter Leah Fitzpatrick, now 16 was born. Renee then continued to be the owner of Chez Colour and married James Edwards Jr. Along with him came his daughter Jordan Edwards, now 14. After she was diagnosed she brought the campaign "Turn the Towns Teal" to Bridgewater to raise awareness. Renee was an amazing woman and a true blessing to the world. Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday October 5, 2016 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Prayers will be said 9 a.m. at the funeral home on Thursday, October 6, 2016 followed by a 10 a.m. mass at Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Basking Ridge. In Lieu of flowers,  memorial contributions may be made to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition by visiting http://www.ovarian.org/
