Somerset- Pedro Nieto, 91, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at his home in Somerset, NJ surrounded by his family. Pedro was born in New Brunswick, NJ to the late Cesario and Marcelina Nieto and raised in Spain before immigrating back to New Jersey in 1947. Pedro was employed by Sealand in Port Elizabeth, NJ as a Longshoreman for over 40 years. In his spare time he enjoyed, traveling, relaxing on the beach and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Otilia Estevez Nieto; children, Maria Nieto Zezas and husband, Dionysius, and Peter Nieto and wife, Carol Ann; grandchildren, Andrea Marie Burkey and husband, Todd, Michael Dennis Zezas and wife, Jennifer, Brandon Peter Nieto, and Zachary John Nieto, and great-grandchildren, Madeline Lia Burkey, Blythe Marie Zezas, Maximilian Peter Burkey, and Audrey June Zezas.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-8 PM on Friday, March 22, 2019 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Prayers will be said at 8:30AM, Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the funeral home followed by a 9:30AM funeral mass at St. Joseph Church in Hillsborough, NJ. Entombment will be at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
