Bridgewater - Margaret A. Hollywood, 68, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 in Bridgewater. Daughter of the late Thomas and Rose Collins, Peggy was the youngest of 9 children. She grew up in Rahway and graduated from Rahway High School in 1969. She resided in Bridgewater since 1997. Peggy worked 37 years as a service representative at Verizon retiring in 2003. Peggy enjoyed bird watching, gardening, flowers, animals, playing piano, baking, shopping with friends, and spending as much time with her grandchildren as possible. One of her additional great joys was making a lifetime of memories at the Jersey Shore, especially at “The Bay Head Sands.” Peggy will be remembered for her infectious laugh and the kindness she showed to others. She is predeceased by her sisters, Ann Zavon, Patricia Kadaraitis, and Rosemary Vansco. Peggy leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Michael Hollywood of Bridgewater; children, Meaghan Hollywood and husband, Timothy Peare of Branchburg, Caitlyn Flanigan and husband, Michael of Lambertville; grandchildren, Emma, Frances, Timmy, Quinn, Maeve; siblings, Dorothy Fruda of GA, Ida Meyers of PA, Veronica Cardella of PA, Thomas Collins and wife, Sandy of PA and John Collins of Alaska as well as many nieces and nephews. Peggy also leaves behind her cherished canine companion Fiona. Visiting hours will be held from 2-5 PM on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Prayers will be said 9 AM on Monday, July 29, 2019 at the funeral home followed by a 10 AM mass at Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter.
