John P. Dusch, of Somerset, died on Monday, December 29, 2014 at his home in Canal Walk. Son of the late Philip and Harriet Dusch, John was born in Bronx, NY and lived in Waldwick and Basking Ridge before moving to Somerset seven years ago. John served in the US Army Engineers during WWII. He was a graduate of The Cooper Union College in New York. John was a mechanical engineer for Con Edison in New York City for 40 years, retiring in 1984. He loved nature, puzzles, dancing, sports and was an eternal Yankee fan. Mostly, he loved his family and friends. He will be missed.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret E. Dusch on June 20, 2013. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved son, Richard Dusch; daughters, Susan Somody and Jean Cross; grandchildren, Michele Somody, Ian and Kevin Cross; son-in-laws, Geza Somody and John Cross.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 9 am until the time of service at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. The service will begin at 10:30 am followed by the burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery in East Millstone.
