George F. Evans, 82, World War II veteran
SOUTH BOUND BROOK -- George F. Evans, 82, died Friday (Sept. 15, 2006) at Raritan Health and Extended Care Center. George was a lifelong resident of South Bound Brook.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II, and is the recipient of the European African Middle Eastern Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and Victory Medal.
George worked for Union Carbide in Piscataway.
He is predeceased by his wife, Marie; and is survived by his son, George Evans Jr. and wife, Lori, of Florida; daughters, Barbara Bukowski and husband, Raymond, of South Bound Brook, Jeanne Renda and husband, Vincent, of Readington and Patricia Evans of Florida; grandchildren, Michelle and husband, James Gill, Vincent Renda, Brian Renda and Kaylyn Evans; and great-grandchildren, Madelyn Rose Gill and Cooper James Gill.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main St., Bridgewater, followed by graveside services 11:30 a.m. at Franklin Memorial Park, Route 27, North Brunswick.
