Francis “Frank” Dascoli

Point Pleasant, NJ- Frank Dascoli, died peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2014 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. He was 75. Son of the late Carlo and Ann Dascoli, Frank was born in Orange he lived in West Orange 34 years. He then moved to Kendall Park for 30 years and summered in Point Pleasant where he currently resides. He was a graduate of West  Orange High School; a graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice in NY where he received his Associates Degree and later received his Bachelor and Masters Degree from Rutgers University in Business Administration. Frank was a US Navy Veteran serving from 1956-1958. He worked for the West Orange Police Department retiring as Police Sergeant and acting Lieutenant. He then went to work for the Newark Post Office as a Supervisor. He was a communicant of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Point Pleasant, he was a member of the DAV Ocean County Memorial #24 where he was Past Chapter and Deputy Officer, Past 3rd Vice Commander of the State, and Trustee; member of the American Legion in Toms River; Trustee of the Navy DESA Organization; a member of the UNICO Organization in West Orange; a member of the Point Pleasant Elks; former member of the K of C in West Orange; and former member of the Kendall Park Senior Citizens. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid Rutger’s Football fan. He is predeceased by his brother Nicholas Dascoli. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 52 years, Sandra L. (Stanziale) Dascoli of Point Pleasant; daughters, Lisa Anne Dascoli of Little Falls; Vicki Mansure and husband Harry of Columbus; Carla F. Almeida of Point Pleasant; sisters, Grace Oldroyd of Caldwell; Helen Barrett of Toms River; Catherine O’Connell of West Orange; grandchildren, Timothy F. Mansure, Samantha A. Garrabrant, Jake J. Mansure, Devon D. Garrabrant, Keira N. Mansure, Christopher F. Almeida and Sandina Almeida. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Rte 88, Brick, NJ 08724. Prayers will be said 10AM on Friday, November 7, 2014 at the funeral home followed by a 11AM Mass at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 406 Forman Avenue, Point Pleasant. Burial will take place 1 PM on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran Cemetery.
