Biography
Casimir Bannell Dlugosz, 86, of 13718 Royal Road, Hagerstown MD, passed away, Sunday, May 2, 2010, at the Loyalton of Hagerstown, Hagerstown.Born Saturday, June 30, 1923, in Bound Brook, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Casimir Dlugosz and the late Victoria Malec Dlugosz.
He was a graduate of Bound Brook, NJ High School. He was employed at Mack Truck Inc. retiring in 1981 after 40 years. He was a veteran of World War II serving as a medic in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Golden Bulldogs, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, and B.P.O.Elks 378. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Lena Dlugosz, one daughter, Victoria Snyder & husband Joel of Frederick, MD; Grandson, Timothy Snyder of Frederick, MD; two sisters, Stasia Pavan, and Martha Colucci both of Bound Brook, NJ. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rose Marie Dlugosz, and a son,Casimir Dlugosz, sisters, Bertha, Mary, Helen, Adella and Theresa and a brother, Chester. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 6, 2010, at 10:00 AM, at St. Ann Catholic Church 1325 Oak Hill Avenue, Hagerstown, MD with the Rev. Christopher Moore officiating.Visitation will be held on Saturday May 8, 2010 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Bridgewater Funeral Home 707 Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ,followed by interment at the Resurrection Cemetery in New Jersey. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
