Bridgewater- Anna Daye, age 88, died peacefully at home on Saturday, January 30, 2010. Daughter of the late Nicholas and Pasha Murcko, Anna was born in Passaic and lived in Elmwood Park before moving to Bridgewater 12 years ago. Anna worked in her early years as an order tracker for Betmar Hats and as a forelady for Botony Mills, both in Passaic County. She then became a homemaker. Anna was kind and giving person, she volunteered at St. Leo's Church in Elmwood Park, Bergen County Mental Health Center, and a former Girl Scout Group Leader. She was a member of the Bridgewater Senior Citizen's, and a member of the St. Luke's Bible Study Group. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and always remembered for her love of dancing and helping others. She is predeceased by her husband James Daye who died January 26, 2007. Anna is survived by her loving daughter, Debbie Daye of Bridgewater and brother, Andrew Murcko of Toms River. A Prayer Service will be held 8:30pm Wednesday at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society and or the Somerset Medical Center Foundation.
