Alvin Eugene Donelson
Lansford, PA - Alvin Eugene Donelson, 69, entered eternal life peacefully on Tuesday, August, 9, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, PA. Son of the late, Henry and Dorothy Donelson, Alvin was born in Somerset, PA and lived most of his life in Bridgewater before moving to Lansford, PA 1 year ago. Alvin was the Manager for Agway in Raritan for many years. He later was the owner of Bee Line Express Moving Company in Bridgewater from 1976 - 1986 and Record Menagerie in Bound Brook which he ran with he and his wife until 2003. Alvin loved Doo- Wop and Oldies music. He also enjoyed assembling gumball machines and toys. He is predeceased by his wife Camille Donelson in 2008 and sister Darlene Zikoski in 2000. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his fiance Edna Hutter of Lansford, PA; daughter, Michelle Donelson-Renda and husband Joseph of NY,NY; grandchildren, Jude and Eden Rose; brothers, Lemuel "Junior" Donelson of South Carolina, Glenn Donelson of Hazelton, PA; and sister, Edna Donelson of Randolph, NJ. Prayers will be said 9AM on Monday, August, 15, 2011 followed by a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway. Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
