Albina Allen

Albina "Beanie" Szarek Allen, 84, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2020 at The Bradford Manor in Sayre, PA.

Daughter of the late Albina Roginski Szarek and Leo Szarek, "Beanie" was born on Dec. 1st, 1935 and spent her childhood years growing up with her seven siblings in Liberty Corner (Bernards Twsp) NJ.  She graduated from Bernards High School in 1953 and married John Richard Allen in 1956 with whom she had four children.  As an adult she lived most of her life in central New Jersey before moving to Pennsylvania in 1986.

Albina was predeceased by her husband, John Richard Allen in 1962 and youngest son Gregg Allen in 2018.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her loving partner of 40 years Larry Michalski of Towanda, PA and daughters, Bonnie Allen married to George Thode, and Carolyn Sullivan married to Frank Sullivan;  both of Bridgewater, NJ and son, John Richard Allen, Jr. of Bloomsburg PA and daughter-in-law, Michele Allen (wife of her late son Gregg) of State College, PA.

Albina also leaves behind her sister, Leonia Bellai of Franklin Maine; many nieces & nephews; and nine grandchildren, Stephen Sullivan, Olivia Allen, John Tyler Allen, Colleen Allen,  Hunter Allen,  Michael Sullivan, Kendall Allen, Alexander Thode, Irina Thode and one great-granddaughter, Hannah Sullivan to cherish her memory.

Arrangements are by the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main St., Bridgewater, NJ 08807.

Visitation will be Sunday Jan 5th from 2pm-4pm and a 10am funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, Jan. 6th at The Church Of The Blessed Sacrament in Martinsville, NJ at 10am followed by interment at The Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Liberty Corner, NJ.
