Alan R. Esporrin
Somerset- Alan R. Esporrin, 72, died peacefully on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at home. Son of the late Paul and Grace Esporrin, Alan was born in Brooklyn, NY, and lived in Long Valley before moving to Canal Walk in Somerset 14 years ago. Alan served the US in the Army Reserves. He was Regional Manager for 34 years in the trucking industry retiring from Wadhams Trucking in Carlstadt in 2011. He was a big NY Mets and NY Giants fan; he enjoyed playing games like bridge, canasta, and bocce as well as participating in many of the clubs at Canal Walk; and was an avid golfer where he was an “Esporrin Open Champion”. But above all of this, he was a loving and caring Husband, Father, and Poppy.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Diane M. (LaDuca) Esporrin; children Dawn M. Grossmith and husband, T.J. of Bedminster, Brad A. Esporrin and wife, Tracie of Flemington, Kimberly Esporrin of Little Falls, and Alan Esporrin of Kearny; cherished grandchildren, Alexis, Brandon, Brielle, Brittany, and grandson on the way; brother, Gary Esporrin and wife, Susan of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers Paul and Ross.
Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Prayers will be said 10:30 AM Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the funeral home followed by an 11:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville.
