Richard Chinery

Bridgewater – Richard Chinery, 63, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with his family by his side. Richard was born in Somerville to the late Jack and Gloria Chinery. Richard was raised in Raritan and is formerly from Somerville and Hillsborough before moving to Bridgewater in 2001. Rich enjoyed splitting his time between Bridgewater and Fruitland Park, FL. He owned and operated Metal Supply Center in Bridgewater for many years, retiring in 2023. In his spare time, Richard enjoyed fishing, cycling, judging KCBS contests as a Kansas City Barbeque Society Master Judge and cooking for his friends and family.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of over 23 years, Barbara Chinery, son, Scott Chinery, siblings Jacqui Charvet and Carolann Nielsen, and step-mother, Karlie Chinery.

Memorial visitation will be held from 10-12noon, Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 with funeral services at 11:30AM Saturday.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Habitat for Humanity.
