Linda J. O'Neill

Linda J. O’Neill, age 71, passed away from a hard-fought battle with ovarian cancer, with her family surrounding her on March 14, 2024. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Linda was born on May 24, 1952, in Manhattan, NYC, NY to her parents Sabina Ericksen & Arthur Albers. She grew up in Ridge, Long Island, NY and in 1974, she moved to Bridgewater, NJ where she resided until her passing. She worked as an Accounts Payable Clerk with Somerset Medical Center-RWJ for over twenty years. Throughout her career, she was known for her hard work and dedication.

But more than anything, Linda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced. She enjoyed camping at J&D Campground and Knoebels, shopping, especially at the yearly craft fair where she was joined by her sisters, and going to lunch with friends. As a compassionate animal lover, all the creatures she encountered were shown an extra dose of kindness and a special treat.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Dennis F. O'Neill, their children Alison O'Neill-Mistretta (Anthony), Caitlin Chudy (David), Maura O'Neill (Jason), her grandchildren Audrey Lynn Diaz, Madison, Liam, and Chase Chudy, as well as her siblings Gregory Albers, Kathryn Albers, Sabina Albers, Arthur Albers, and Susan Albers- Lawrence, and her in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved very much. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

A viewing will occur starting at 9:00 am with a wake service beginning at 11:15 am on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 at Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 Main St, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
