Dorothy F. Pietraszewski

Dorothy was born on July 11, 1934 and raised in a home her father built on Oak Street in Bridgewater, NJ. Raised when Bradley Gardens was a Summer retreat. Dorothy and her husband, Walter would tell stories of the only homes were of Mr. Bradley’s, and there were only five other homes. The tall golden fescue grass, dirt roads and the bus that traveled along Old York Road to get to school everyday. How it was a better time, a time long gone. Dorothy started as a clerk at RCA, she worked her way up to the top floor working under the Vice President of RCA Bridgewater Operations as The Head Administrator. She was well respected by all her colleagues and the President of RCA. Traveling globally until RCA closed their doors. Dorothy then settled for a simple job at The Raritan Bakery, where she brought smiles and made everyone’s day start with a great smile and an everything is great today attitude. Dotty had a golden aura around her. She stated, “I would have done this job for free.” Everyone would call her Mom. Her radiance would not only brighten everyone’s day, she had a way to say, “Your day is going to be spectacular” without ever having to say a word. She was graceful, loving, and Dorothy was an attribute to anyone that had the pleasure to meet her. If there were more Dottie’s or TootSea’s as her family and loving husband, Walter called her for over 63 years, the world would be a much better place to live in. Her family is in shock, they helped her pack her summer home on November 01, 2018. Dorothy was not even walking with a cane, she was smoking, playing her iPad Casino games. Dorothy’s last words and thoughts were; to live for today, to love and live everyday as your last. I will say Dorothy Francis Pietraszewski died as she lived; with grace, pride and honor. We are in shock. Complete shock. To see such a vibrant, glowing happy woman that helped pack her clothes and summer residence just 8 weeks before. I can honestly say, no one, not even Dorothy saw this coming. She thought she may have had a stomach problem. To see Dorothy, you would say, she looked wonderful. Dorothy will be greatly missed by anyone that knew her.

Dorothy is now at peace in Heaven with her son, Walt and husband, Walter Sr., and all her family that predeceased Dorothy. She earned her wings on Earth. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Kenneth Pietraszewski and his wife, Huan, Susan Pantermalikis and her husband, Mannie, Robert Pietraszewski, Stanley Pietraszewski and his wife, Kimberly (Opitz) Pietraszewski, and Joseph Pietraszewski and his wife, Kimberly (Brown) Pietraszewski, seventeen grandchildren, and seven great grand children.. Dorothy had a private ceremony. Instead of any flowers, Dorothy would be grateful for any contributions you can make to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, The American Cancer Society or Ronald McDonalds House for Children.
