Bridgewater- Alexander W. Drumbore, 55, passed away on Saturday November 5, 2011 at Somerset Medical Center. Born in Somerville to the late William and Wilder Drumbore, Alexander lived in Manville prior to his move to Bridgewater in 1979. He was a graduate of Manville High School. After High School, Alex started his own business, Alex's Fruit and Produce from 1974 until 1985 at the former Packard's Market in Hillsborough. He then went on to work at Pete's Fish Market in Plainfield as a salesman. Alex was an avid football fan and in addition to his love for the sport, he coached Bridgewater -Raritan Pop Warner for six years. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and will always be remembered for his love of cooking, working outside around the house, spending time with his family and taking weekend trips to the beach.
Alex leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Gayle F. (Pazmanske) Drumbore of 32 years; daughter, Kelly Ruffa and husband Pasquale of Flemington; son, Alexander J. "AJ" Drumbore of Bridgewater grandson, Pasquale Gregory Ruffa; brother, Ronald Drumbore and wife Beverly of South Bound Brook; sister, Debra Drumbore of Lansford PA; many nieces and nephews as well as his grand-dogs, Arlite and Reya.
Visiting hours will take place on Thursday November 10, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater NJ 08807. Prayers will be said at the Funeral Home on Friday November 11, 2011 at 9:00 AM, followed by a 9:30 AM Mass at St. Mary's Church in Bound Brook. I'm sorry to hear about Alex. My prayer go out to you and your family. I have a lot of memories working with Alex at Pete's Fish Market the night before Christmas Eve. We laugh alot and yelled a lot at each other but at the end we laught when it was all over.
